Nazlah joined Black Horizons Travel in 2018 to assist with logistics and research to provide travelers with information about people of African descent, past and present, around the globe.
Born and reared in Harlem, NY; a former US Army Reservist, lover of history and family ancestry, Nazlah researched her maternal family back to the 1780’s in New Jersey; her late uncle, traced their paternal ancestry to Gambia, during the 1600’s. She spent three months in Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Senegal, and Togo.
The founder of Gift Children Books, Inc., Nazlah formed the nonprofit to helps children build free home libraries stocked with high-quality new books.
